I must say, I am glad. =) That was my movie choice. I mean, think of everything Shrek offers: a fairy-tale land with a twist, shows that beauty really is on the inside, offers quips for adults as well as kids, great animation, an all-star cast...I could go on and on.
And I loved Shrek 2 as well...Shrek 3...we just pretend that one didn't happen...

I am glad it wasn't the Dark Knight. Not that there is anything wrong with Batman, unless you have a thing againest men wearing tights...but the numbers, in my opinion, are skewed by Ledger's death. Kinda like Michael Jackson, everyone was so over him even calling him Wacko Jacko, now suddenly he's the King of pop again? Where was the love when he was dangling Blanket over the balcony? Just saying...
(Personally, after Dangerous I stopped liking MK. But The Thiller ablum will always be near and dear, it was childhood. Kinda like fruit stripe gum, wall bangs and The Breakfast Club)

Yes! Shrek! :) That was my vote - love that movie, mostly because it has such hilarious humor for adults yet Savannah can still watch it with us. I like the 2nd one too, never seen the 3rd - guess I'm not missing much.
