Sushi Night

Superman and some of our friends decided to make sushi last night, and, while the entire sushi process may have taken about eight hours (driving an hour -- in the rain -- to buy the supplies, cooking the rice, baking, etc....), it was WELL worth the wait -- and I have already decreed that my husband has to make it again. It was the BEST sushi I've ever eaten. I ate so much last night I was stealing it from my husband's plate!

Let the cooking begin!

I do know that my tiny kitchen barely contained the two chefs creating their masterpieces. Our friends were making a Philly roll, and we were eating a spicy snowball. They're the best!

My sweet husband and his work:

And the end result?

Delicious!

MMMMMMM love sushi and how awesome that you made it yourselves. We have an all you can eat sushi place here and it's about $13. for lunch. They make your order each time you order (no buffet). Love it!

How nice to have a culinary talented husband! I'm jealous :) I never tried sushi. I have to take the plunge one of these days and see what all the excitement is about!

Wish you could come over to my house to make sushi. I'm scared to try. It's just so much easier to let someone else do it.

Glad you enjoyed your sushi! Not having to cook makes it even better. ;-)

Thanks for visiting the domestic fringe. Hope you come again soon!

I am not nearly brave enough to attempt any kind of sushi-making - but I am so impressed that your hubby is! That looks wonderful! Did you have a certain recipe, or did you sort of make up your own thing?

It looks delish indeed, though I do like mine without the seaweed! :) Blessings!

What a great event shared with loved ones! My kidlets and DH (Deer Hunter) love sushi, but me, not so much. :)
